2007 C. Donatiello, Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, California

WU members loved the Chardonnay that we just shipped by this small producer in the Healdsburg area. 2007 was a good year for them and they are loving the age-ability of this Pinot Noir. This Pinot is charming and elegant with a clean and bright finish, a fabulous food Pinot. The winemaker, Webster Marquez, who has worked previously at Williams Selyem and Anthill Farm, brings his top-notch talent to this relatively new winery. Though a newcomer, C. Donatillo has the soul of an old-timer but treats its crops well for the furture—they are organic. 2,700 cases made.
