2009 Knez Winery, Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley, California
From the rock star pinot maker Peter Knez, here is a blending of two different vineyards (single vineyards will be released later this year). Knez is also the winemaker for Anthill Farms, a WU favorite when it comes to California Pinots. Strong cherry notes and singing acidity promises to be enjoyable with your dining choice of pork tenderloin with mushrooms or some mustard chicken. There is a burst of cherries on the palate with singing acidity. After the burst it quickly mellows but the finish is long and fluid.
