A regular U.S. bottle is referred to as a "fifth," since it is 1/5 of a U.S. gallon, or 25.6 fluid ounces. Generally, you can find most sizes up to Methuselah around. After that, many of the large bottle sizes are just for show. Jeroboams are common in Burgundy where as Imperieles (the Bordeaux reference for Methuselah) are readily found in Bordeaux.
